Hello world!
My name is Rune, and I’m a viking from Denmark. I like to pretend that I’m a viking, but I’m also an avid traveller, hence Abandoning the Fjords (pstt don’t tell anyone that we actually don’t have fjords here in Denmark).
I’ve been travelling around Europe, Caucasus and the Middle East fairly extensively in recent years, and always wanted to share my adventures with other people. Therefore this blog has now been established to share my travel experiences.
Beyond travelling, I’m working as a software engineer, I read books, study farsi, run, and much more. I enjoy learning about the whole world and all the people that inhabits it. Different cultures are endlessly fascinating and enriching to life.
